Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!
. . .
BOO!!

Trick or Treat -- Corvin and Mazzie, "bats and bones" and the butterfly fairy princess, trick or treat on the Pearl Street Mall in Boulder as part of the annual Munchkin Masquerade. Corvin chose his outfit, by the way - - he did have the option to be Mr. Bones entirely, but he wanted to wear his bat shirt.

Corvin and Mazzie in Downtown Boulder
Corvin and Mazzie needed to burn some energy after days in the house after the storm, so we trotted around Boulder's downtown area on Sunday.

First day in the back yard after the storm
Mazzie helped us with clean up in the back yard after a recent snowstorm knocked numerous branches, large and small, off of our massive cottonwood. Once Corvin awoke from his nap, he helped, too. (Mazzie should have been napping.) Steve had pulled a wasps nest out of the crab apple tree as part of our clean up.

Happy 2nd Birthday, Corvin and Mazzie!

Yesterday, Corvin and Mazzie turned two. We kept things simple, since that is how things are for them right now. We thought about having a party and inviting some kids, but then, because other kids are such a novelty to Corvin and Mazzie, we thought it would just be about that instead of about their birthday. So instead presents and happy birthday phone calls trickled in through the day. Mazzie and Corvin wore their birthday girl and birthday boy pins all day (thanks, Mimi!), Mazzie wore a birthday dress, Corvin wore his mismatch plaid (his choice), and the day ended with "happy birthday" and blueberries and whipped cream on pound cake. (They only ate the blueberries and whipped cream - - no pound cake.) We talk about birthdays all the time, but they knew that yesterday was their special day.

These pictures are mostly from our walk to pick daddy up at the bus stop and the return trip.
