Happy Holidays Everyone!

'Tis the night before Christmas,
And all through the house,
We are bustling with activity:
Gramma is baking cookies in the kitchen,
Steve and Mazzie are watching Charlie Brown's Christmas,
Peanut Butter is chewing on a treat gifted by a neighbor,
I'm blogging,
Only little Corvin is fast asleep up in his crib.

What a magical year it has been in this household,
We wish you all extraordinary good fortune in the new year and a joyous holiday season.

Peanut Butter and I got out early for a walk through nearly a foot of pristine, fluffy snow

Here is some of that pristine snow in which I made a snow angel while Peanut Butter ran around me. I thought a snow angel was seasonally appropriate.

Okay, maybe Mazzie and Corvin aren't quite big enough for these seats, yet.

Little Green Riding Hood

Great Gramma Elaine made this gorgeous bonnet and sweater for Mazzie many months ago and I realized today that it might fit. I had fun playing dress up with her. Isn't she beautiful?

New High Chairs

Don't Corvin and Mazzie look like they're enjoying their new high chairs? These chairs elevate them to an adult level and they love it.

They've had an explosion of growth - smiling, cooing, hitting at things with their arms, looking, observing, trying. I can now understand why parents become convinced that their child must be the smartest child ever; it's so amazing to watch these two make gains day by day. Aren't you amazed by how much more lively and interested they are?

Hero of the Month: Mimi Launder

It's official - - Corvin and Mazzie will not have a "grandma". It looks like they'll have a Mimi (Steve's mom) and a Mopsy (my mom) instead. Mimi - otherwise known as Mary Ellen - is with us through the 17th, then Great Grandma Elaine will be joining us for a month. All of these loving hands are so appreciated when Corvin needs hugs and Mazzie needs burping simultaneously or whatnot.

Mazzie and Corvin are exploring the world with their eyes right now and smiles are bursting through regularly. Magic!
